NOTE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
It’s back to school season. Which also means a focus on fall. Fall is my favorite season for so many reasons. As a kid it meant back to school (and new school clothes). Now it means bonfires, apple cider (maybe hard apple cider), vibrant colors and football. At PPAChicago, fall means the board changes its focus to upcoming events and planning for the new year.
In September, you will receive a ballot for our Board Election. The electronic ballot is sent to the primary contact for your company – please make sure that member votes. If you know that your primary contact has changed at your company, now is the time to let us know (reach out to Stacey Felice at email@example.com). And if you have a favorite candidate on the ballot, why not encourage a vote?
The fall season is also when we start focusing on our annual Showcase. Next year’s show is scheduled for March 16th at the Renaissance Convention Center in Schaumburg. Suppliers will start receiving invitations to exhibit in September. Be sure to watch your email for that invitation. Continued positive reviews prove that the PPAChicago Showcase should not be missed!
In November, we are hosting The Great Anniversary party to celebrate PPAChicago’s 65th Anniversary. This year’s theme is the Roaring 20’s and The Great Gatsby. Come dressed in your best 20’s attire, or just dressed in your best, to enjoy a night of Casino Games, Dinner, Dancing and connecting with your favorite industry friends. Don’t miss the fun! Finally, this fall also means my last few months as President of this amazing Board. If you have any feedback to share about PPAChicago, please do not hesitate to contact me firstname.lastname@example.org . I always love to hear from you.
Dawn Janis, President of PPAChicago
